After relaunching our event marketplace, Ticketopolis is rolling out a matching redesign for individual event pages, the page an attendee actually lands on after finding an event through search or a shared link. The new design carries the same visual language as the marketplace, and it comes with a change organizers have been asking for: personalizing a page now takes one image, not two.

One flyer

Most organizers already have a flyer for their event, something built in a design tool and shared on social media long before a ticket is ever sold. Under the old setup, that flyer was just one input and an image header was also needed. The new event page design flips that. Upload the flyer, and Ticketopolis pulls colors, layout emphasis, and visual tone directly from it, producing a page that already looks like the event's own branding without a separate design pass.

Why this matters for organizers without a design team

Independent promoters, student organizations, and small nonprofits rarely have a designer on staff dedicated to the ticketing page specifically. They already made a flyer. Asking them to then rebuild that same look manually, in a different was friction that added no real value. Now the flyer does double duty: it drives ticket sales on social media, and it becomes the visual foundation of the event page itself.

Consistent with the new marketplace

This update is a direct continuation of our marketplace redesign. The same visual system that now powers event discovery, search, seasonal listings, and the new blog carries through to the event page an attendee eventually lands on, so the experience feels like one connected product rather than a search page bolted onto a separate checkout form.

What organizers can still customize

A single flyer covers the visual foundation, but organizers aren't locked into it. Event details (date, venue, ticket types, description, and additional info and images) still update independently of the image, and organizers who want more control can still adjust specific elements manually. The flyer just removes the requirement to build a look from scratch before an event page feels finished.

Faster setup, not less control

The goal isn't fewer options, it's fewer required steps before a page looks ready to share. An organizer who wants a fully custom page can still build one. An organizer who just needs their event live in the next few minutes, using the flyer they already made, now gets a page that looks intentional by default.

Live now

The updated event page design is live today for every active event on Ticketopolis, with no setup required beyond uploading the same flyer organizers already use elsewhere.

Ticketopolis has officially established its U.S. headquarters in McAllen, Texas: a milestone that marks the company's first major step into the American market and the first successful completion of McAllen's Soft-Landing Pilot Program, a city initiative designed to help international companies establish a U.S. presence.

From a networking table in Monterrey to a headquarters in Texas

The road to McAllen started two years earlier, at Café con Texas, a cross-border networking event held in Monterrey in 2024 and organized by the World Trade Center Monterrey. It was there that Ticketopolis, founded by Fernando Medellin and Blanca Guerra, first connected with the partners who would eventually guide its U.S. expansion: the World Trade Center Monterrey, McAllen's Office of International Relations, its Office of Retail and Business Development, and the McAllen Chamber of Commerce.

That relationship became the foundation for McAllen's Soft-Landing Pilot Program, which gives international businesses structured access to local resources, connections, and expertise while they explore entering the U.S. market. Ticketopolis is the first company to complete the program successfully, and its new headquarters in McAllen is the result.

What officials are saying

City leaders framed the announcement as validation of McAllen's growing role as a bridge for cross-border business. "Ticketopolis choosing McAllen is a powerful statement about the unique opportunities our community offers," said City Manager Isaac J. Tawil. McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos echoed that sentiment: "Ticketopolis' success shows what is possible when international businesses have access to the right resources and partnerships."

As part of the move, Ticketopolis has also joined the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, formalizing its role in the local business community.

Why McAllen, and why now

McAllen sits at one of the busiest commercial crossings on the U.S.-Mexico border, making it a natural launch point for a company built in Mexico and looking to serve organizers on both sides of the border. For Ticketopolis, a platform organizers already use to plan, manage, and sell tickets for physical, virtual, and hybrid events, a U.S. headquarters means faster support, deeper market knowledge, and a local team positioned to work directly with American event organizers, from independent promoters and universities to corporate and nonprofit event teams.

It also reflects something core to how Ticketopolis has grown: through relationships built in person, not just product-market fit on a spreadsheet. A single networking event in Monterrey turned into a multi-year partnership with an entire city's economic development apparatus, the kind of groundwork that doesn't show up in a pitch deck but tends to matter more than most funding announcements.

What this means for organizers

For event organizers already using Ticketopolis, the McAllen headquarters signals a company investing in long-term presence rather than a one-off market test. A U.S. base means better time-zone-aligned support for American customers, a stronger foothold for serving the U.S. side of cross-border events, and a company positioned to grow alongside the border region's expanding events and tourism economy.

Ticketopolis is currently used by organizers across concerts, festivals, conferences, sports, and nonprofit events to build event pages, sell tickets, manage check-in, and market their events, all from one platform. The company's move into McAllen positions that same platform to serve a growing base of U.S. organizers, backed by a team now rooted on both sides of the border.

Today, 1095 dancers filled Plaza Zaragoza in Monterrey, Nuevo León, and set a new Guinness World Record for the largest Mexican folk dance ever performed. Ticketopolis was there too, not on stage, but behind the scenes, providing the registration and headcount system that helped support the official Guinness verification.

A record built by the whole city

The event was organized by the Monterrey city government in collaboration with Conarte, with choreography led by maestro Jaime Guerrero and more than 40 different dance groups performing together. The routine ran for roughly 30 minutes and wrapped up around 7:00 p.m., with Guinness World Records officials completing their verification by 8:00 p.m. Carlos Tapia of Guinness World Records confirmed the result on-site, alongside official witnesses Alejandro González and Francisco Torres: an official count of 1095 participants: a new world record.

Why a record like this needs more than one count

A Guinness World Records attempt of this size doesn't rest on a single headcount taken by a judge glancing across a plaza. Official witnesses validate the attempt against Guinness's guidelines, but an event with over a thousand simultaneous participants also benefits from an independent, documented registration trail: proof of exactly who showed up, when they checked in, and how the final number was reached.

Where Ticketopolis came in

For this event, Ticketopolis provided the registration and check-in system used to track participating dancers as they arrived, generating a real-time, timestamped count that stood alongside the official witnesses' tally. It's the same underlying capability Ticketopolis provides for any large event: QR-based check-in and real-time analytics, applied here to a use case a little different from a typical ticketed show: supporting documentation for a Guinness World Record attempt, rather than admission to a concert or conference.

What this shows about handling scale

Most events Ticketopolis supports involve getting a crowd through a door efficiently. This one required something slightly different: an accurate, defensible count of participants gathered in an open plaza, produced fast enough to hand off to Guinness officials the same evening. The same real-time check-in infrastructure that tells a festival organizer how many people are inside their venue right now was put to work here to help document a genuine world record.

A record worth being part of

Monterrey's folk dance record is a point of civic pride, built by dozens of dance groups and a choreographer who spent months preparing a routine meant to be performed by over a thousand people at once. Being the platform trusted to help document that moment, accurately, and on a tight timeline, is exactly the kind of large-scale coordination Ticketopolis is built for.

Built for events of any size

Whether it's 200 people at a community fundraiser or over a thousand dancers attempting a world record, Ticketopolis's registration, check-in, and real-time analytics scale to match. Sign up free and see how the same tools that helped verify a Guinness World Record can support your next event.

Starting today, every ticket sold through Ticketopolis can be delivered by WhatsApp, alongside the email delivery organizers already rely on. It's a small change on the surface, one extra delivery channel, but it solves one of the most common complaints event organizers hear from their attendees: "I never got my ticket."

The problem with email-only delivery

Email has been the default way to deliver tickets for years, and for a lot of buyers it still works fine. But it isn't the whole story. Confirmation emails land in spam folders, get buried under promotions, or simply go unread until the day of the event, if they're opened at all. For organizers, that means a share of attendees show up without their ticket in hand, creating avoidable friction at the door and putting extra pressure on check-in staff who have to look up orders manually.

Why WhatsApp

WhatsApp is where a large share of Ticketopolis's audience already spends their time: checking messages throughout the day, not just when they think to open their inbox. Delivering a ticket there means it arrives somewhere a buyer is actually likely to see it, with none of the extra steps of searching an inbox the night of an event.

How it works

There's nothing new for organizers to configure. When a buyer completes a purchase on Ticketopolis, their ticket is generated and delivered automatically by email as before, and now by WhatsApp as well, sent to the phone number provided at checkout. The ticket itself works exactly the same way whether it's opened from an email or a WhatsApp message: the same unique code, ready to be scanned at check-in.

For buyers, that means one less thing to worry about. For organizers, it means fewer "I can't find my ticket" messages in the days leading up to an event, and fewer holdups at the door from guests who genuinely never saw their confirmation.

Who benefits most

This matters for every kind of event Ticketopolis supports, but it's especially useful for community events, family-oriented gatherings, and any audience that leans on messaging apps more than email.

What's next

WhatsApp delivery is live now for every event created on Ticketopolis, at no extra cost and with no setup required: it's simply part of how tickets are delivered going forward. As always, the goal is the same one behind every feature we build: fewer obstacles between a ticket being bought and an attendee actually making it through the door.
