Every event organizer asks some version of the same question before they ever create an event page: which plan actually makes sense for what I'm running? Ticketopolis's three tiers:Free, Professional, and Premium, cover a wide range of situations, from a first-time organizer testing the waters to a production company running dozens of ticketed events a year. Understanding event ticketing platform pricing plans this way, as a match to your event's size and needs rather than a ladder you're supposed to climb, makes the decision a lot simpler.

Start with what Free actually includes

The Free plan isn't a stripped-down trial meant to push you toward upgrading before you've even sold a ticket. It includes a customizable event page, flexible ticket types, WhatsApp and email delivery, QR code check-in, and built-in fraud detection: the core toolkit most organizers need to run a legitimate, professional event. There's no subscription fee and no minimum commitment; it works when the event is free for guests. For a first event, a single community fundraiser, or an organizer who simply wants to see how the platform works before committing further, Free is a genuinely usable starting point, not a demo.

When Professional starts to make sense

At 8% per ticket plus taxes, the Professional plan is built for organizers running events regularly enough that marketing and analytics tools start paying for themselves. This tier adds the features that help sell more tickets and understand what's working: email campaigns, promo codes, Facebook and TikTok pixel tracking, and deeper real-time analytics. A recurring concert series, a growing conference, or a producer running several events a season tends to land here: the point where knowing which ad actually drove registrations, or being able to reward early-bird buyers with a promo code, starts to matter more than the extra percentage point of fees.

Where Premium earns its place

Premium, at 11% per ticket plus taxes, is aimed at organizers running large-scale or higher-stakes events where every operational detail needs to be dialed in: badge printing and networking tools for expos and conferences, diploma and certificate automation for training programs, and full payment flexibility including installment plans and crypto. It's also where organizers can remove things like the join-time ad on live-streamed events. If your event involves multiple ticket types, on-site POS sales, international attendees, or a professional audience that expects badges and documentation, Premium's added tools tend to offset the higher percentage well before an event sells out.

A simple way to think about it

Rather than asking which plan is the best, a more useful question is which plan matches how you actually run events. A one-off free community event or a first-time organizer rarely needs pixel tracking or diploma automation: Free covers what they need. An organizer running several ticketed events a year, actively marketing them, usually gets more value from Professional's marketing tools than they spend in the extra fee. And an organizer running conferences, expos, or large-scale productions with international audiences will typically find Premium's tools pay for themselves in reduced manual work alone.

None of the three tiers lock you in: an organizer can start on Free and move up as an event grows, plan by plan, without migrating to a different platform or losing existing event data and analytics history.

Try it before you commit

The clearest way to know which plan fits is to start where your current event actually sits. Sign up free now, create your first event on the Free plan, and upgrade only when a specific feature (payments processing, better marketing tools, badge printing, crypto payments) becomes something your event actually needs.

Find it. Book it. Live it. On whichever plan fits where you are right now.
